Britain's Zara Phillips has revealed she doesn't like being referred to as a princess or a model and would rather be known as an athlete.
Britain's Zara Phillips would rather be referred to as an athlete than a princess or model.
The royal - who launched an equestrian clothing range she had designed for luxury brand Musto yesterday (28.07.10) - admitted she wishes people would "drop" the princess and model tags.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Athlete is good. The other two can get dropped. I'm not a princess anyway. It's all about the job."
The 29 year-old horsewoman also revealed she didn't enjoy modelling the range of gilets, jackets and fleeces.
Athlete is good. The other two can get dropped. I'm not a princess anyway. It's all about the job.
She said at the launch of the ZP 176 Collection: "I start off really not wanting to do it in the morning but then it gets better. Most of the time I like the pictures."
The down-to-earth royal also admitted the pictures - which were taken during a day-long shoot at 12th century Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire - have been airbrushed.
She joked: "They usually airbrush out the horse's dribble on your arm".
Zara - who is engaged to England rugby star Mike Tindall - is now waiting to see if she has secured a place on the London 2010 Olympic team.
The royal - who won gold medals at the 2005 and 2007 European Eventing Championships, said: "Taking part in the Olympics would be amazing but to do it on home ground is what dreams are made of. Hopefully dreams will come true."
